Atlas Logo, sign for radio holes

Atlas Logos

I finally got the name attached.  For about 2 months I had a small little wooden sign with the boat name on the back.  Letters were exactly 4 inches, and the home port wasn't exactly up to spec...  The logo came out good, and the name looks good on the boat.  I especially like the the logo, I had a guy work it up for me, and he did it from another image in a bout 5 minutes.  Putting it on the boat wasn't too bad.  On the one side I had ti sit in the dingy, and there were a few wake waves while I was putting it on that made it challenging...

There may be some copyright infringement here....

This was the way they worked up the sign.

Sign for Radio Holes

I had some holes in the wood behind the nav station where the old radio and electrical controls were. I needed to cover them, and found a sculptor in Montreal that made custom art out of rock. I had him make an Atlas nameplate with a picture of Atlas on it. See the results below:

This is the hole from a previous radio.  There was another one about 10 inches to the right.
The is artist that did the work signing the side.
I used some teak angle wood to secure the sculpture to the wall.  I had to drill the screws in and use a lot of screws to ensure it would stay.  (It is heavy and boats move...)  I will sand down, add plugs, and stain/oil the teak later.
